    On 6 August 2009, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue a set of six commemorative stamps and a souvenir card on the theme “ECOSOC” (Economic and Social Council).

    These stamps will be issued on August  8TH 2009, in denominations of 44 c, 98 c , F.s. .85, F.s. 1.80 , Euro 0.65, Euro 0.55

    On 15 June 2007 – The United Nations General Assembly  decided to observe the International Day of Non-Violence each year on 2 October – the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who helped lead India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. The resolution adopted by the 192-member body.


    On October 2nd 2009, United Nations Postal Administration will  issue stamps with painting of Mahatma Gandhi, This $1.00 Definitive stamp will be issued in sheets of 20 stamps. Further details about this issue is awaited.

    On October 2nd 2009, United Nations Postal Administration will also issue a personalized sheet on the theme
    ” 40th Anniversary UNPA Geneva”

    On October 8TH 2009, United Nations Postal Administration will  issue three commemorative stamps in miniature sheet format in denominations of 44 c, F.s. 1.30, Euro 0.65 on the theme Indigenous people of the world.
